Meet DMV requirements to renew your dealer license
To comply with state law, dealers must complete a four hour continuing education program to renew their license every other year.
If you were licensed in an even year, you take the course in an even year (2006, 2008).
If you were licensed in an odd year, you take the class in an odd year (2007, 2009).
The owner or a designated manager must complete the class. A designated manager must have a salesperson's license.

The continuing education class is required to update the dealer regarding financing, ethics, DMV regulations, and State and Federal mandated laws. This process creates a better informed dealer who operates his or her business with better compliance and less consumer related problems.

Your certificate of completion will be automatically forwarded to you. Submit the certificate to the DMV when renewing your dealer license.

Call Dealer Education Services toll free at 888-323-0031 and materials for self-study will be mailed for you to complete at your convenience, including:
an instruction page,
a copy of the Auto Registration Guidebook,
a 40 question test with a self addressed envelope.
Return the test to Dealer Education Services; the test will be graded and your certificate of completion forwarded by first class mail.

Classroom:
