How Does the Online Course Work?
You can study the necessary materials in the online version of the Dealer Education
Services course and meet the DMV requirements at your own pace and in the comfort
of your own home or office.
Each section of the course includes a short introduction, the course text, sample
forms, and supplemental information to help you run your business better. Study
this information until you are familiar with it. You can come back as many times
as you need to and continue where you left off. Each section ends with 10 test questions
about the material you have just studied.
Your online course is complete when you have read all four sections and answered
at least 70% of all 40 test questions correctly. You will have an opportunity to
review any questions missed and to retake the test if needed.
You must get at least 7 of 10 correct in each section to continue to the next one.
After completing the material and passing the test, your completion certificate
will be mailed to you within the next business day. Certificates are mailed first
class mail. The certificate can also be sent by overnight mail for an additional
$20.00 fee.
How Long Will It Take?
Your online program, including the testing, should take four hours to complete.
The course is divided into four sections, so figure about one hour to study and
be tested on each section. You can do the course all at once or come back multiple
times at your convenience until you finish the course successfully.
Who Should Take This Course?
Owners of the dealership are preferred. A designated manager with a sales license
is also allowed to take the course.
